    More amazing Whale sightings..

On the 12th of August we initially saw a single humpback whale who cruised alongside for a short while then it ’tail-dived’ and disappeared.
We then saw two large Humpback whales cruising along, they were joined by another three and we were treated to an aggressive display of ‘head lunges’ & ‘pec slaps’ - several whales breached close by and more arrived bringing the total up to 8+ in close proximity. They continued with their display then split back up into their smaller groups with ‘roundouts’ & ‘tail dives’ as they swam away.

On our way back we came across a mother & a very young calf Humpback whale combination - the calf performed some ‘head rises / half breaches’ whilst mum cruised alongside. Wow what an experience!

On 13th of August We saw a single humpback whale breaching, as it approached it performed ‘tail rolls’, ‘roundouts’ & ‘tail dives’. A second humpback whale also started breaching close by again with ‘roundouts’ and ‘tail dives’. The original whale then swam over and the two of them milled around us with ‘breaches’, ‘tail rolls’, ‘roundouts’ & ‘tail dives’. They then began socializing with each other, swimming very close to each other & rolling around.
Yet another whale started breaching close by again with ‘tail rolls’ & ‘roundouts’ - it then circled the vessel for a while before swimming off.
On the way back another humpback whale surfaced close by did a few ‘roundouts’ before cruising off. Another brilliant day !!

We initially saw two humpback whales breaching a little way off us who continued to breach as we sailed by, they then cruised alongside us for a while with lots of ‘roundouts’ & a ‘tail-dives’.

We then saw another two humpback whales who were ‘pec rolling’ close by, again they cruised alongside us for a while.

Another great encounter at Eco Beach!

The spectacular Humpback Whales are on their annual migration back to their Antarctic feeding grounds and have been putting on a magnificent show for guests and visitors of Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat.

Normally sighted From July to October the Humpbacks, the fifth largest of the great whales, arrived early this year and have been extremely active, gracefully frolicking around Eco Beach’s luxury 50’ catamaran ‘Windcheetah’, breaching, rolling, tail diving and slapping their pectoral fins and generally having a Whale of a time before continuing on their way.

“The Whales are relaxed and have been circling the boat and going underneath and popping up on the other side” reported Eco Beach’s resident Whale enthusiast, Dave Harvey. “Another amazing experience today, we initially came across two humpback whales cruising with ‘round-outs’ and ‘low tails’. Then we saw a single humpback whale breaching close by. It half breached over a dozen times and in between it performed ’pec rolls’, ’tail dives’, & blew bubbles. It was very relaxed and quite curious of us.” He stated.

Four hour Whale Watching cruises from Eco Beach operate on Monday, Thursday Friday and Sunday and there is no better place to view these majestic creatures than on the on the large open decks of Eco Beach’s fully equipped, luxury vessel.

Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat also offers a Full Day Eco Sailing Cruise from Broome on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday where guests can enjoy a 3 hour sail to Eco Beach, disembark for a relaxing lunch and a tour of the Retreat before their return cruise to Broome later in the day.

For those wanting to spend overnight or longer at the amazing Eco Retreat, sailing cruise transfers to and from Eco Beach are also available and Whales and other marine life including Turtles, Dolphins and Manta Rays may be spotted on this journey across the azure waters of Roebuck Bay.

I love a real outback adventure holiday, being out in the wilderness and enjoying the peace and quite.

Time away to recharge the batters, be pampered and relax and see the great sights of WA

I am from NZ so I would love to see some of outback WA.

Time away from the computer to relax and learn more about Australia.

Holidays should include relaxation, sightseeing and time to recharge the batteries. Anywhere in the top of WA is a ideal holiday experience.

    Quiet time and hot weather!!!

    Relaxation..peace..great views and dining

I love to be in the fresh air and have to be near the water. Eco Beach sounds like the perfect place to be.

To travel to eco beach walk on the beach and enjoy the nature it has to offer, plus with the luxury of the resort has to offer.

eco beach broome with my husband-checking on whats new since we last stayed prior to the hurricane

on the beach with a large multi coloured cocktail complete with stupid umbrella and chunks of fruit garnish

Somewhere I can totally relax and be pampered and not have a care in the world

getting back to nature and relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of the city

is when i can sit down and just take in all the quietness and beauty around me, to sit and relax

    Relaxing and enjoying the sun.

luxury combined with sunshine, good service, pristine beaches and a touch of adventure!

Sitting on the verandah, after a spa, sipping cocktails at Eco Beach, before dinner!

to be a million miles from anywhere. to re-experience the outback nightsky

    Cocktails, Massages and Nothingness

Somewhere I can totally relax!!! No hustle and bustle - no cars - just full of sun and beautiful water to calm me.

To go and stay somewhere i have never been or seen before. Every Travel experience is ideal !!!!

quiet, peaceful and relaxing in comfort

Pool, beach, spa, cocktail, relaxing, warm weather

Relaxing, easygoing but still able to experience everything the city/place has to offer

Dreaming of the sandy beach, the red rocks, relaxing, walking and being a Million Miles from anywhere.

getaway with my family on a secluded & luxurious beach with plenty of good food & a bit of fishing.

A beautiful and serene location. A place to relax and absorb my surroundings.

    RELAXATION

    Hmmmm…

Relaxing on a pristine white sandy beach in a remote location.

Sitting by the beach drinking cocktails, eating lot’s of seafood and swimming at the beach!

my ideal holiday would be a holiday that is active unusal and unique, something along the lines of studying atronomy on the mountain of the big island of hawaii. however i am not sure if you can actually do that as a holiday.

To breakaway with the love of my life for a private, fun and relaxing adventure :o)

A weekend away from work and civilization to relax and enjoy ‘me’ time in beautiful surrounds with no interuptions!

Experiencing new things, relaxing, and arriving home feeling refreshed and like I have discovered something!

    Trans-Siberian

Time out to relax and unwind

Being away from the crowds at a place like Eco Beach

Sit back and relax with a number of physical activities to blend into the holiday

To be somewhere where you can relax and be spoilt while enjoying the environment in its natural surroundings

Hmmm, relaxing in style in a nature, serenity and peace. But being able to get out and be active at the same time, go bushwalking, kayaking, snorkeling etc. So a holiday for body and soul. :o)

Adventure plus natural beauty for a short stay, culture and history for a long one!

I always go backpacking, touring and do working holidays it would be amazing to have a purely self indulgent holiday where I can relax, unwind and enjoy the serenity :o)

Much along the lines that you are offering - low key but luxurious escapism!!

Lots of relaxation and massages, great beaches and good sunsets!

My ideal holiday experience is all about warm weather, beautiful beaches and culture in whatever country it may be even Australia. Relax, adventurous anything!! I like quiet and rural better as I’m not a big city lots of people around person.

    Relaxation with water surrounding

Relaxing in uncrowded and unspoilt location with good food & wine

Seeing new places, relaxing and having an adventure!

FUN FOR THE KIDS, RELAXATION FOR THE PARENTS

    Sunshine and tranquility

Relaxing in the sun at a beachside resort

    Eco Beach, of course!

    Beach, sunshine, swimming, relaxing!

Experiencing the ultimate destination relaxing by the ocean, and drinking in the sun drenched surroundings, feeling like I am the only one one in the world blending in with beautiful surroundings a million miles away from anything and anyone and to have this all in my own backyard that would be the ideal experience, I think ecobeach defininately is that experience!
