As April 2009 comes to an end its certainly proved itself to be a very exciting month down at Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat. This week we should start to see construction draw to a close and the main focus switching from building up to cleaning up!
Over the past few weeks, up to 50 construction workers have completed a host of major jobs such as the final kitchen fit outs, flooring, tiling and painting of all the villas, Jack’s Bar and function/health suite
Brett Donald of Alternative Power Solutions (APS) has now successfully completed the installation and activation of the resort’s Solar powered grid system, meaning we are now energy positive!
The driveway has been bitumenised which has given Eco Beach a huge visual lift and at last the resort is starting to look more like a proper resort rather than a construction site!
As of today 28th April, the beautiful ocean front Infinity swimming pool will begin filling with water. The final areas to be lawned will be laid by Friday and Dave Wilson our fishing charter operator will begin tending to the moorings in preparation for the flurry of private boats expected for our opening weekend in June.
Cleaning up after such a huge construction job can take time and is a laborious but essential part of the overall job. We may have come far in the past few weeks but the hard graft is certainly not over yet!
