Each unit has been designed to eliminate the impact on the environment. Many of our Eco Villas and Tents have been designed on stumps to allow the surroundings to continue to thrive. Our over 1km of board walks have been made from a recycled composite eco decking, this allows guests to move around the resort without impacting the surrounding environment.
The Resort
The Resort
Eco Beach has installed solar panels on each of our Eco Villas as well as a solar farm to service the entire resort with solar energy. Each day the solar energy is stored in battery storage to be able to run the resort throughout the night. Our equipment utilized throughout the resort have been chosen for their low energy usage. Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat Planted over 11,000 native trees to ensure the surroundings are restored, this also has drastically reduced the water consumption as native plants are used to the dry climate. We also have installed a grey water sewerage system to water the plants and grass.

Our Accommodation
Each room is equipped with energy saving appliances to reduce the energy pull in each room, including LED lights. Our cleaners use environmentally friendly cleaning products with no harsh chemicals which can pollute the environment. Each shower has installed water saving shower heads to reduce the water consumption whilst also providing a good pressure shower, each room also has signage to encourage shorter showers to reduce the water consumption.
Recycling & Waste
Recycling & Waste
All wastage is minimized where possible and recycling is encouraged. Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat participates in the Containers for Change program. All 10c refundable bottles are collected and sent to Broome’s Recycling Depot. The money collected from this program goes toward Staff Village improvements, to create a more comfortable place for our teams to unwind. Single use plastics are also minimized, including no single use toiletries in the rooms, only refillable bottles.
Activities
Activities
Eco Beach offers a variety of land based and cultural enriching experiences. We practice sustainable fishing measures encouraging our guests to participate in catch and release. Eco Beach only allows resort cars to access the beach and bush tracks to ensure there is minimal impact on the environment.
The Restaurant
The Restaurant
Jacks’ Bar Restaurant aims to mostly use local products. This is an important step in reducing energy omissions and food miles from the transportation of fresh produce, while also supporting locally owned businesses. Eco Beach grows fresh produce which is utilized in some of our menu items. Our restaurant has a filtered and sparkling water tap to allow our guests to reduce many single used bottles.
